Thanksgiving

I can't believe how fast the holidays have come and gone. Thanksgiving seems like just a few days ago. It's hard to believe that Christmas is already over!

We recycled our pumpkin from Halloween and used it for Thanksgiving. I seriously was obsessed it!

Here's just a recap of our November:

1. Of course, when it finally got cold outside we had to make our famous potato soup recipe from last year. HERE it is if you want it!

2. Made mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving day at my parent's house.

3. Made puppy chow...one of my favorite/unhealthy snacks for the holidays.

4. Made a strawberry pie...

Guess who came to visit on Thanksgiving!!!

Rosco wore Lenny out!

After all of the Thanksgiving festivities the kids geared up to go Black Friday, or "Black Thursday" shopping. Spence, Em, and I were out shopping until 2 or 3a.m.

Tuesday, November 27th was Emily's birthday so we celebrated the Friday before that way everyone was still in town.

One of Emily's really good friends from middle school came over with her family and little boy. So cute!

: )

My mom made Emily's cakes. A chocolate mousse angel food cake and a strawberry creme angel food cake. They were both gone THAT night. It was a perfect, LIGHT dessert after a crazy week of thanksgiving stuffing-our-faces marathon.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EM!!

It was such a nice break full of relaxing, cooking, face-stuffing, family, shopping, and more relaxing. Thanks for following!
