I love pictures..when they're not of me! ; )

Here are some pictures from the photoshoot we had almost three weeks ago! Ahhh....I love taking 45 minute drives to the middle of nowhere. Beautiful scenery EVERYWHERE!! I wish we would have left a little earlier because by the time we got out there the sun was already going down. That might just give us another excuse to go again! : ) Enjoy!

More to come!

Up for a challenge!

Since I got my camera for my birthday from my ever-so-sweet husband back in December I've had TONS of fun playing with it! Fortunately I have a younger sister that doesn't mind being my barbie doll for a Saturday afternoon. Blonde hair, blue eyes. How are we related?? I do not know.

We've been able to go a couple of times spontaneously, grab some outfits and a few accessories, jump in the car and head to our destination, sometimes without knowing where we were going!

Our first trial and error photo shoot was with her and a friend. These two were so fun to photograph!! They laughed practically the entire time.

I love messing around with the pictures and editing them to look a LITTLE different.

Somebody had graffiti-ed "Emily" on the ground. My mom thought we had brought sidewalk chalk and done it. Nope! But, good idea!!

The girls found a mattress to jump on. I was PRETTY reluctant to let them jump on it. At least they kept their shoes on. ; )

In the middle of taking pictures a high school aged kid with a skateboard starting walking over to us from the road. We were pretty far from the road so it was a pretty "out of your way" kind of walk. Here's the girl's genuine reaction to the boy coming over to us. lol

He walked up to us and asked us if we had a cigarette. SERIOUSLY?? We told him no, we don't smoke. Then he preceded on his way. WOW. Back to picture taking!

This is probably my favorite picture from the shoot!

That's it for now! I'll post pics from my shoot a couple of weeks ago soon!! This is so much fun to me!!! I've been trying to figure out Photoshop also. If you are interested in getting your pictures taken I'm up for a challenge! As I said, I just got my camera, so by NO MEANS am I a professional, YET at least! ; )

Thanks for following.

Rodeo-Friday March 16

Rodeo Houston 2012

Back in March, on Friday the 16th we got to spend the day at Reliant Stadium for the Houston Rodeo! It was a fun, but HOT day so we spent as much time as we could inside. We didn't spend much time at the carnival this year. We got to see Train in concert. They were awesome! I knew every song they sang!! Even the older ones! I'm soooo sad about my camera though! It was the end of the concert and I had recorded a bunch of the concert when my memory card freaked out and wanted to be reformated. So all the pictures and videos I had on the card are gone, unless we find someone who can get everything off of the card for us. SO sad! Amazon already sent us a new card, but I still have hope that we will be able to get everything off of the card. Fingers crossed. FORTUNATELY I had my little digital camera with me also so I was able to use the memory card out of that little camera. So I DO have some pictures from the day. Just missing all of the Train videos.

We had our names carved into a wooden sign for our house!

 Headed to the Train concert.

The concert was really good!! I liked them a lot because he interacted with the audience a lot. At one point he had a whole bunch of girls come up on stage and attempt to sing and dance to win a signed guitar! lol...pretty awesome! He even ran laps around the stadium while singing Journey!! Pretty impressive!!

We had pretty good seats. It's so nice being in the bottom section of the stadium. SO much easier and quicker to get out!

Here's the carnival after the concert. It was PACKED. We were going to try and go on the ferris wheel afterwards but one look at the lines changed our minds quickly!

Spence did get to play one of the games he wanted to though!!

It was a fun night!! It's definitely something we would like to do every year!! Hopefully when it's a little cooler outside and LESS crowded. It was the weekend AND Spring Break, the odds weren't really in our favor for a crowdless day. ;-)

P.S. Notice my camera bag?? I made the cushions the night before so I could use it for the Rodeo the next day!
