haha...these were everywhere! You couldn't take pictures inside, so I took some outside.
When we got off the short boat ride over to Belize City, Belize we immediately found somebody who would take us on a tour of the Mayan Ruins. You have to be a little skeptical with these excursions if you don't book them through the cruise line. And we were! He took us to the back of a shopping mall and told us to wait by the door. That's where our bus was going to pick us up. We waited for about an hour. Fortunately we were with 2 other couples, so we weren't all alone. We were all getting a little antsy since we were on a strict schedule for the day. We had to be back on the boat by 4p.m. We wanted to do the tour as early as possible so we had a little bit of time left to shop around the city. About an hour or so later our bus driver came to pick us up. At this point we were a little hesitant to trust these people. We got in the bus anyway, and buckled up!

After about an hour ride to the ruins we finally made it. The couples in the car joked about how our driver was taking us to a place far from our boat and was going to kill us. I believed it for a little bit. If you would have seen the dirt roads he was taking us down, you would too! But, despite all of our doubts, we made it to the beautiful ruins! So glad we did this in Belize, even though it felt like 115 degrees outside!

This was the tallest ruin. The "Sun God" temple. Their was an alter at the top where they would do sacrificial ceremonies.

VERY steep!! There were a bunch of local school children at the top. It made me a little nervous especially when I saw them running around.
Some locals attacked us with alligators and a baby parrot. (Basically just looking for a tip). We didn't mind though.
I can't remember the name of the little animal I was holding. Anybody know?!? It was cute though! It immediately started cuddling close to my body. SO CUTE!
We passed a bunch of these buses on our way back on the road only big enough for one car.

After grabbing a snack and shopping we headed back to the boat. Belize had beautiful green/blue water. More green, than blue. It was very different compared to Honduras' water and even Cozumel. We had a great time even though we got sunburns through our clothing. We love exploring and can't wait to go back again someday!
For dinner after a day of Belize adventures Spencer got up on one of the serving tables (and put on one of the absent server's vests) and danced with the other waiters. I thought I got a good 2 minutes video of him doing it, later I realized it recorded only about 2 seconds of it! I'm still soooooo sad about that! It would have been awesome blackmail material. I guess a couple of pictures will suffice. : )
After dinner, throughout the night people kept asking him if he was the "guy that danced on the table" at dinner. HA HA...Spencer became well known on the boat. I love this boy. Never a dull moment.

Whatever this was, it was apparently really good!
He might be a little dramatic ; ) but his tie confirms how windy it really was!
FUN DAY!! It was time for bed! Cozumel in the morning!
