For Father's day we were
in charge of bringing dessert. We decided to make these ridiculous looking things. Instead of making them into bars we decided
to make them into cupcakes since cupcakes are my little obsession. : ) They are
pretty self explanatory. We used either use Reese's, Snickers, or an Oreo
between the layers. ALL of them were delicious!
We tried them the night before (we made them Saturday night) and
they were AMAZING straight out of the oven. The chocolate was still warm and
melting in your mouth. On Sunday we warmed them up in the microwave and topped
them with a scoop of ice cream with chocolate drizzled on top. I know, a little
ridiculous. They weren't as good warmed up in the microwave.
We snacked on them later that night (without warming them up) at just room temperature and they were SUPER good. So my advice, either eat them straight out of the oven, or wait until they have cooled. Don't warm them up in the microwave. The microwave seems to dry them out. And there you have it! Crispy (cookie), chewy (brownie), and gooey (snickers or other yummy treat) cupcakes. ENJOY!! : )
