At the beginning of May (May 5th) my Grandma Kunkel passed away. My parent's had been with her that evening. They ate dinner with her, walked her around her assisted living home and then took her upstairs to get ready for bed. They could tell that my Grandma was just not herself. They went home that night and got a call about an hour later that the nurses found that she had passed away in her bed. I'm so hopeful that she had a peaceful passing. That was one of her biggest fears. We all miss her a lot but we know she is so much happier to not be stuck in a body that was slowly deteriorating! I know she's also happy to be with the rest of her family and my Grandpa who passed away years before her. It's a blessing to know that we will get to see them all again one day! It was amazing to see all of the people there for my Grandma. The best part was seeing her red hat club friends show up with their red hat gear on. So cute!! We automatically loved those little ladies!
Here's part of the family that was able to make it to the burial Monday morning (a couple of days after the funeral).

Flowers I kept from one of the flower arrangements.
She's so cute! This picture was when she first moved in to her assisted living home less than a year before.
