On March 7th we went to the RODEO!! I wanted to go to the rodeo the night Bruno Mars was performing and had been looking at tickets for weeks and weeks. They were all SO expensive. I didn't want to pay $100 pp to sit at the very top of the stadium. It was mostly frustrating because Rodeo tickets have a set price. They are typically $25 per ticket to sit in the closest section at the bottom of the stadium, and they get a little cheaper the higher up the seats are. Of course, ALL of the Bruno Mars tickets sold out within a matter of days (or less than that) because other companies come in and buy them all super cheap and sell them for 10 times or MORE than the price they paid for them. So frustrating!!! A ticket that was originally $25 was going for over $1,000! A LITTLE ridiculous if you ask me. Ii found out that this year those companies somehow were allowed to purchase tickets before they became available for the general public. Annoying. I didn't want to give up though because I thought Bruno would be so fun! Well, literally TWO DAYS before the the Bruno Mars concert a close family friend posted on Facebook that she had like 7 EXTRA TICKETS to the Bruno Mars concert and was selling them for like $23 a piece!! YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?! I just about fell out of my chair!! I literally responded within seconds of her post, which probably was a little crazy for her! We picked up the tickets the next day, and headed to the rodeo that Thursday. Miracles exist folks, yes they DO. ; )
After sitting in the car for 2 1/2 hours in traffic where we were literally driving MAYBE 20 mph down the freeway, we made it to Reliant Stadium. We paid to park in a parking lot that was FULL to the max. At one point there was a traffic jam because we were all looking for an empty parking spot and there weren't any. After lots of maneuvering we parked in a non existent parking spot (almost up on a curb) and ran in to the stadium because we were afraid we were going to miss the concert. We made it just in time to watch the last couple of livestock events before they set up for the concert.
My sister and her friend:
He so cute!!
After the concert:
Playing his favorite carnival game:
This is the first year we decided that we would wait in line to try and fried sweets!!
Fried oreos were my favorite!
Fried Brownies, definitely not my favorite.
Fried cookie dough:
They danced all night! We even lost them at one point. We thought they were behind us and minutes later we turned around and realized they were gone. We retraced our steps and found them in a circle with a few other boys dancing. It was pretty funny because the boys couldn't dance at all. I have videos but they are not on my computer yet.
Thanks for following!
